  • 1 glass of water

  • ~3 glasses of flour

  1. First, beat the egg.

  2. Add the water to the beaten egg, a pinch of salt, and start adding the flour. Begin with two glasses, then gradually add more until the dough no longer sticks to your hands.

  3. Knead the dough well, then divide it into 3 equal parts.

  4. Roll out one part of the dough. The thickness should be about 4–5 mm.

  5. Cut the rolled-out dough into diamond shapes. The easiest way to do this is with a round pizza cutter if you have one at home.

  6. Cook the dumplings (lazanki) in salted boiling water for about 7 minutes (cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the dough; place them into already boiling water).

  7. Serve with whatever your heart desires that day — or enjoy them plain. 🙂 Bon appétit!

Chef’s Tip:

If you want the dumplings to be even tastier, you can briefly fry them in butter after boiling – this will give them a golden color and a lightly crispy taste.
If you enjoy sweet dishes, sprinkle warm dumplings with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon – a simple yet incredibly delicious combo that kids will love too!
