Quick & Easy Halal French Toast Breakfast Sandwich with Eggs

Ingredients

2 slices bread (white, brioche, or whole wheat)
1 large egg
2 tbsp milk
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp butter or olive oil
1–2 eggs for the filling (fried or scrambled)
1 slice halal turkey, chicken, or beef bacon (optional)
1–2 slices cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)
Optional toppings: tomato slices, lettuce, or a drizzle of hot sauce

Instructions

Make the French Toast Base:
In a shallow bowl, whisk together 1 egg, milk, salt, and pepper.
Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides well.
Cook the Toast:
Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Add the soaked bread and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden and slightly crispy.
Remove and set aside.
Prepare the Filling:
In the same skillet, cook your eggs (fried or scrambled — your choice!).
Add your halal turkey or beef bacon if using, and cook until lightly crisp.
Assemble the Sandwich:
Layer one slice of French toast with cheese, eggs, and meat.
Top with the second slice of French toast to make a sandwich.
Return to skillet for 30 seconds per side to melt the cheese perfectly.
Serve Hot:
Slice diagonally, drizzle with a little honey or hot sauce if you like a sweet-salty combo — and enjoy!

Tips
For extra flavor, add a pinch of garlic powder or paprika to the egg mix.
Want it spicier? Add harissa or sriracha inside the sandwich.
