Ingredients:
5 cups of water
1 cup of sugar (adjust to taste)
2 cups of mixed fresh fruits, diced small (choose from watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple, mango, strawberries, or papaya)
1 lime, juiced
Optional: 1/2 cup of milk or cream (for a creamier version)
Ice, for serving
Instructions:
Prepare the Fruits:
Wash and peel the fruits if necessary.
Dice the fruits into small, bite-sized pieces.
Mix the Water and Sugar:
In a large pitcher, combine the water and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely. If you want a creamier version, substitute part of the water with milk or cream.
Add the Fruits:
Add the diced fruits to the pitcher.
Squeeze the lime juice over the mixture and stir well.
Chill:
Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld together.
Serve:
Fill glasses with ice and pour the chilled agua de frutas over the ice.
Optionally, garnish with a slice of lime or a sprig of mint.
