Ingredients:

Base:

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands!)

Meat layer:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • ½ cup water

Creamy layer:

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Veggie layer:

  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (drained)
  • ½ cup diced green bell pepper
  • Optional: jalapeños 🌶️

Topping:

  • 1–1½ cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Prep the base

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • Press biscuit dough into the bottom of a greased baking dish
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes until lightly set (not fully cooked)

2. Cook the beef

  • Brown beef with onion
  • Add taco seasoning + water
  • Simmer until thickened

3. Make creamy layer

  • Mix sour cream, mayo, cheese, garlic powder

4. Assemble layers

  1. Partially baked biscuit base
  2. Seasoned beef
  3. Tomatoes + bell peppers
  4. Spread creamy mixture
  5. Top with shredded cheese

5. Bake

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden

  • Drain tomatoes well so it doesn’t get watery
  • Pre-baking the biscuit base keeps it from getting soggy
